Just for fun, looking at Honda, Yamaha, and Kawasaki.
All the street bikes look like Harleys? What's with that?

Or he's keen enough to notice . Most mfrs have at least one bike that can
be mistaken for a Harley . It's called "marketing" , and seems to work -
they're sellin' them .

Ooh, that's harsh.  Curses, I've been rumbled as a cheap bastard who
secretly wants a Harley.  Yep, I really wanted an Electra Glide Ultra
Classic, but couldn't afford one, so that's why I bought a lookalike
model, the FJR1300.

It hasn't escaped my notice that the big four Jap manufacturers including
Suzuki, make plenty of bikes that look a lot like Harleys.  The problem
is that the OP said "All the street bikes...".  Last time I looked, the
Japs made plenty of street bikes that look nothing like a Harley, so as I
said, he's either dim or doing a shitty job of trolling or both.  You, on
the other hand appear to be doing a knee-jerk response to the typical Harley
basher, which has no application to me.  I've ridden a few Harleys and
they're fine bikes.

I guess that qualifies as a bite, doesn't it?

It might be more accurate to say that they look like cruisers. I
wonder, for example, back in the day (way back) if Harleys were ever
considered to be 'looking an awful lot like Indians".

The point is taken in that Harley does have an unofficial trademark on
the 'look' of a cruiser.

I own a Harley 1200 Sportster and a Kawasaki Vulcan 2000. I know the
strengths and weaknesses of both bikes.

What I find funny are the Harley riders who refuse to wave at me when
I'm on the Vulcan.Hell I wave at folks on scooters. Way I see it we
are ALL out there dealing with the ways of the cager.

I also have had the Vulcan in the parking lot at the local Harley
dealer to pick up parts for the Harley. Have to admit I enjoy the
looks of the seasoned Harley riders staring at the 125 cubic inch
beast :)
