Heh, heh. You guys have such imaginations.

Not to worry, I only take the Valky if I'm picking up a new oil filter
for the EGC. But the Valkyrie does have an engine that catches peoples
attention, even if it is only a measly 92 cubic inches.
It's nice being in the club, but when I'm not riding the HD it's
definitely different, but it matters not. I don't wave at many Beemer
riders either, and especially the ones with the funny looking square
panniers.

I always buy a year's supply of filters and fluids at a time. Pays to
wait until the HD dealer has it's 25-30% off sale and then pounce! ;)

Yeah, actually, I can see that happening. Stylistically, the motor in
a Valkyrie reminds of having a Chevy small block put in the bike.
It's kind of an eye-catcher.

I only return waves now. It gets to be so repetitious. Maybe
Canadian bikers just wave more, being so polite and all!

I think I am going to have made a life size hand formed into the two
finger salute, that incorporates a wind vein that when the bike is in
motion will slowly rock back and forth simulating a wave. Fasten it to
the engine guard with a bar clamp and I will be done with waving
forever.
Damn dress the thing up in chrome with a Bar & Shield and I could sell
a million of them. <g>
Not that I mind waving, it's just that in town or on any of the
popular day rides near town, often there are a constant stream of
bikes going both ways. I get so busy waving I can't even pick my nose
from time to time.
Now when I am out on the road, with the bike laden down with traveling
gear and I pass a like minded rider going in the opposite direction,
that's different. I will be the first to acknowledge the road
traveler. Throw in some really inclement weather and not only will the
rider going in the opposite direction get a wave, they will also get
my respect.
