Definitely WRONG, that kind of handling will get you killed as you
cross the center line.

Only the last set up is truly desireable to experienced racers and
canyon riders.
It's what is called "neutral steering."
Neutral steering only requires about one pound of pressure on the bars
to hold the motorcycle in cornering attirude.
When you torque steering head bearings you want to arrive at a set up
that only takes one foot-pound of pressure to start a clip on
handlebar moving so that bearing friction doesn't interfere with the
neutral handling feeling.

He's saying people like these set-ups. What's wrong with that?

Statements like that fall in the same category as saying that sods are
normal because they like what they do.
It institutionalizes ignorance.

So? Some racers like bikes that are less stable than others. One man's
meat, etc.
Now, would you like to point us to where you sorted out that
rake/trail/wheelbase explanation? Cos I still can't fiond it.

What's the matter? Aren't there any pet stores in the Alps where you
can buy a small rodent to torment?
