My son suprised me by washing the Nighthawk.  He really did a good job,
but finished it off by spraying something called "TS2 Touchless Tire
Shine" by RGS Labs on the tires.  He wasn't real specific and it got
all over my fender and tire treads.

I tried to wash it off the fender but there is a residue that just
won't go away.  The treads feel like they're covered with oil.  I'm not
riding until I get it off my tread; I don't want to end up in a
neighbor's yard after the first corner.  It doesn't say what's in it,
so I'm not sure what to use.  Probably a degreaser.

Has anybody used this stuff?  What's in it?

I would put on some gardening gloves and use handfuls of fine dry dirt
to scour the residue off the treads. Then I would wash the tires off
with a commercial car washing liquid that didn't contain liquid wax
and rinse it with water.

The product may be proprietary, made to a secret formula, or everybody
would be making it and selling it and the original manufacturer's
profits would fall off.

Google up the manufacturer's webpage and see if there is a hyperlink
to the MSDS (material safety data sheet).

Or simply wipe the tyre with a pre-paint cleaner or even a cloth that's damp
with paint thinners.

And before anyone gets all bunched up, I've done it for donkey's years with
no ill effects to either me, or the tyres. I'm not talking about soaking the
tyres here, I'm talking about wiping them.

Yebbut, this is Krusty we're talking about here. The man with a
1,000-word solution to every simple problem....

I imagine cement dust would soak the stuff up OK, too. I mean, if it's
good enough for oil dumped on racetracks...
