My wife spends 2 weeks every year up there in the French Alps where they run
the race. She goes to a camp for missionaries (her church is affiliated) and
does the cooking. The missionaries stay for two weeks to unwind and relax
before going back to their various "assignments". Some of them are from
areas of the world where proselytizing is frowned on, so, it can be
stressful and they need the break.
Anyway, the area is beautiful and the people there are fantastic, or so she
says. I guess I'll go with her one of these years though I don't go in for
the religion thing. For a free trip to France I can put up with a lot. ;-)
