This rider is taking a curve at such an extreme lean angle
that it's hard to believe his tires can have any traction.
In fact it looks as though a mere 100 milliseconds later
he'll be sliding tangentially off the track in a shower
of sparks and fiberglass shards.

ps. this is one of those pix where the mouse cursor becomes
a tiny magnifying glass with a plus sign in it, meaning
"click to enlarge". Not being website-design-savvy I have
no idea what this effect is called or how it's accomplished.

Look at the tires, they seem to have a contact patch. My perception of this
telephoto distorted image that he is leaning over the inside shoulder, which is
not parallel to the road and appears to have an up grade.

Yes, there are paved berms on the insides of corners, but the rider is
still leaned over to about 55~60 degrees, and he's running on the
sides of his tire tread rubber. His tires are "pointier." i.e., more
elliptical in vertical cross section than typical sportbike tires.

No, I'll go ride my sport-touring bike while you imagine that you've
ever thrown a leg over anything that didn't go "Hee-Haw" or "Baa!"

Now, that was funny.
