This morning, about 8:00 am Pacific Time, I placed an order for a set of
Ultimate Seats, the Ultimate King Big Boy. They have 3 models for the
Valkyrie, which all look the same, but are for different height/weight
riders.
They cost something like $1,200. That includes a $100 core charge for the
passenger backrest, which I'll get back if I send them my old backrest. I
haven't decided to return it yet. If I ever want to sell the bike (heaven
forbid!) I'd like to have all the old seats in case a shorter rider wants to
buy it. The passenger backrest probably isn't a big deal size-wise, but it
won't match the Ultimate seats.
When I got them for the Royal Star, the comfort level went through the roof.
With the Valk, engine placement makes tall folks like me a little cramped.
Having different sizes available is a big deal here. It's supposed to be 1
inch higher and 2 inches back from the stock seat.
They Emailed me a tracking number, and I found the seats shipped around 7:00
pm Pacific Time.
If this were a set of seats for a Harley, I'd be impressed. The fact that
these are already on the way 11 hours later, for a bike that only saw 3
years on the market, blows my mind.
They aren't the prettiest seats in the world, but they are damn comfortable.

Highly recommend.
I may have to adjust the handlebars a bit. If I install risers, say one or
two inches higher, would I be able to lower the bars a bit to get them a
little closer?
Seems like it would work to me, but I haven't tried it yet, and there's
still a lot of motorcycle stuff I just don't know.
Thanks!
