About a year ago, there was some short discussion here on using a car
tire in place of a MC tire with most people against the idea.

Has anybody here actually used car tires on their bikes?

I'm *this* close to getting a new rear tire and am contemplating doing
some vTX owners call "going to the darkside" and replacing my 180 rear
tire with a 200/205/210 car tire.

I recall a thread with a guy who had a Honda Valkarie (I think) who had a
car tire on the rear. He said it wore better that a cycle tire but if I
recall the handling was poor since a car tire isn't rounded it takes a lot
of effort to get it into and hold as turn. Straight line? No problem.

You can try it if you wish. Not my cup of tea. I figure they make motorcycle
tires the way they do for a reason.

I think it's safe to say that only a moron would do such a thing.

Like he said.

Ever get stuck behind a moron trying to ride a bike
like that up a twisty narrow mountain road ?
