Well, here is another Spring and another invitation to test ride a
Victory. I'm signed up for the weekend after next anf hope to maybe
test ride the Vision or, at least, the Kingpin. Curiously, the Hammer
is missing from the color catalog they send out as an invitation.
Was doing some price comparisons; seems Victory is the highest priced
of all, generally speaking... HD's typically run $1500-3000 more than
the Asian competition, but Victorys run well above that. I don't think
the new Indians have made it to market yet, so maybe Victory will have
some competition for the highest priced bikes :)- It's gotta be tough
competing in the MC market nowadays.

The nice thing about the Victories is that they provide some value in
that you can order the bike directly from the factory the way you want
it. Contrast that with having to buy and install (or pay to have
installed) a bunch of aftermarket parts and shelve a bunch of OEM parts
and the slightly higher initial costs of the Victory don't look so bad.
Hell, you'd likely drop $3k into a Harley engine to get it in the same
performance league as the Victory.

The used ones are cheaper than used Harleys though.
Had a guy in the other day with a screaming deal on a used Kingpin.
Still wanted a Heritage though.

I'm glad you mentioned that... yes, Victorys lose more value than HDs.
So they're mroe expensive new and lose more value over time.
