Awhile ago I took the MSF course and got my endorsement and began
to look for a bike.
At 60 years old and not having ridden a bike in 30 years I wasn't sure
what I wanted. So I
listened to a bunch of other folks. "you'll just be riding around town
so you don't need a big bike"
"Scooters are realoly nice these days", etc, etc, so I kept my looking
to smaller bikes and a
few of the scooter. I eventually purchased a Honda Reflex 250 scooter
and can only say good
things about it. It has been a blast to ride. And after 3000 miles has
not had a single problem. I just had
an 8000 mile maintenance check done on the bike and all they needed to
do was change the oil and the sparkplug, pretty dependable. and for
just around town. It has been everything that wanted..............But
it won't ride on the
highway....it will but its best performance is at about 55mph. It
really is not designed for a passanger as I weigh
230 myself. and it's not designed for a long trip.
Soooo, my first bike was the bike I wanted but not really the bike
that I needed. So now I'm seriously in the market for another
bike...a Honda 750 Shadow maybe

If you're looking for something to do trips 2-up, you
may want to consider some other options. Talk a bit
more about what you'd like to do with the next bike...

It wasn't until I learned that bigger bikes aren't any harder to ride
than smaller bikes and they are A LOT more comfortable that I finally
started buying the right bikes.
Think if it like the old timers who buy Buick Park Aves... there's a
reason they're smiling.
Buy a HD Electraglide and smile every time to go out the and ride!
What the hell.. you buy one of those 750s or anything else like that
and a month later you'll be thinking to yourself "I should have bought
the bigger one."
Seriously.

That's odd. Most of the HD riders I see on the road look like they're mad at
the world.

choice of skull or flames.
