I'm having a hard time finding them online for my Katana ..
What is the correct nomenclature for those thingies that are cylindrical and
short and go on the sides of sportbikes so that if the bike topples it hits
those rather than the expensive composite fairing parts?
I'm having trouble finding them ... not sure what they are called.
Been 2000 miles and haven't toppled the Katana yet ... my luck will run out
... I think I want some.

Generally, I think they're know as "Sliders".

Frame Sliders.
Make sure you get the type that you don't have to do any cutting of your
plastic. I got some for the CBR but haven't put them on yet. 'course, I'll
probably drop the thing the day before I plan the install. :-(

Get swingarm spools as well. Easy to install and they make it simple to use
a lift if your bike doesn't have a centerstand.
