Today while doing other maintenance, I noticed some scratches on the tank
near the seat down to the bare metal.
I went over the rearward third of the tank with a can of gloss black spray
paint I had lying around.
The paint job doesn't look horrible, but it looks awkward, especially near
the boundary between old and new. Better it looks awkward than develop any
corrosion. I don't much care (it is all one color, plus or minus a little),
but in the future I might have it repainted.
Where does one have that done? What are my options.
I could take it to my local Ford dealership (they've done body work on my
truck before) and have them nuke it, but maybe there are other options.
I just want it all gloss black and shiny. Nothing fancy.
