My Daytona race take-off D208 and D209 tires on my Ducati S4Rs will
also slide on sand.

Yup. For sportbikes, it is the tires at the top of the list. Special
oil, chain, and sprockets add up quickly on the more powerful bikes,
too.
I'd really like to have a Toyota Prius powered 2 WD Tacoma for hauling
sportbike, bicycles, camping gear, and cooler around with the soon to
be misses. Then when we get to our far away destination, the fun
could really start.

I am tempted by the new Pilot Road 2CTs.

But, ya gotta admit, the $.13 per mile ain't too shabby, and probably
one of the cheapest cost per mile for a sport bike.

I highly recommend the PR2's for your bike.
Far superior to the Scorps.

Scorps? what about Corsica's? I'm riding the high mileage version. Strada.
