All I can say is I've never seen so many Vespa's and Piaggio's going full
tilt on the roads. The line had to be 30 miles long - and I'm not kidding!
See: http://tinyurl.com/67gnk8 Some club out of San Diego, CA.
From the website photo it looks like a 1000+ scooters. The buses look
European and are on the wrong side of the street so I'm guessing it is not
the club's photo, but maybe some European scooter rally photo? Some
scooters had "Italy" license plates (??).
There were a few being hauled off in the back of chase pickups, probably
blown engines from running wide open. Some riders looked to be 300 pounders
and the poor scooter looked crushed. All looked to be enjoying the spring
scenery. Don't know how well a Vespa can pull up a 6000' mountain pass
though which was where they were heading.

Bwaahhh-hahhhhaa-haaa!
Per Dictionary.com:
hedonism;
1. the doctrine that pleasure or happiness is the highest good.
2. devotion to pleasure as a way of life: The later Roman emperors
were notorious for their hedonism.
[ Origin: 1855–60; < Gk hédon() pleasure + -ism]
—Synonyms: sensualism, libertinism, debauchery, dissipation, carousal.
The mind boggles.
S'pose they have 'baggers'?...'bobbers'?...'rearsets'?...'clip-ons'?...do
they pull trailers?
Do some show up *on* trailers?
Hummm...$20 for camping *and* they have kegs?
"Show us yer...'garden burgers'??!!

Yep. Saw that too.
Don't forget they maybe used a whole dollars worth of gas too.
I don't know if Hedonism is the right word for their club, maybe the "Cheap
Bastards" is better suited?
That web photo sure shows a lot of 'em. Maybe scooters are the new wave.
Guess I better buy a Harley scooter like this one http://tinyurl.com/5woh8q

Sorry Mack, but that Harley will be excluded as it isn't of Italiano design.
Maybe a Ducati scooter would get you in?
Damn. Just when I thought the world was safe, Ducati did make some
scooters!
http://www.bevelheaven.com/brochure-index-scooter.htm I noticed one even
has a hidden spare tire!
