OK, I just picked up a black bandana to go with... my black m/c, black
boots, black pants, black gloves, black jacket.
In my effort to avoid the clothing trappings of riding m/c, I have,
well, fallen into the trap of wearing the stuff m/cylclists wear. I
wear m/c boots to work even when I don't ride. I have different colors
and styles of boots so as not to have to wear the same ones over and
over, but like any guy, I have my fave pair that I, well, wear over
and over.
My job is the kind where you have to wear a tie 1/2 the time and
business casual the other half. So when folks want to know if I rode
in today, they just look at my boots and say, "guess you rode into
today." I don't feel right telling them I didn't when I didn't because
they'll wonder why I'm wearing the boots... because I like, too,
dammit - they're all full of Dr. Scholl's foot wear crap that makes
'em comfortable, but only I know that. I mean us older guys gotta have
our comfort.
I dislike the idea of following unspoken fashion rules in
motorcycledom... beanie helmet with hat turned backwards underneath,
head bandana, mechanic's boots and yet the only thing I don't wear now
is a doggone beanie helmet with hat turned backwards and only because
3/4 helmets just feel better to me.
Just this past week, my daughter and I were in the car when I saw 2
sportbikers wearing clothes that exactly matched their bikes. All I
said was, their clothes match exactly. My daughter said, dad, so do
yours. Busted.
So who out there wears a head bandana? How about all the other stuff?
Anybody else wear m/c boots all the time when street shoes would do
just fine?
I'm starting to end up looking like I want to bust somebody's axx when
I dismount and go into a store, but the truth is, I'd be far more
likely to give you a handout of $10-20 if you look like you needed it.

You're somethin' else; not sure just what, but somethin' else for
sure. Look up the meaning of troll and get back with me.
As for poser, I'm just like everybody else here... tryin' to be
different just like everybody else... read it once or twice and let it
sink in.
