Bad idea. Increased vibration, loss of handling.
Feels like a much better bike without the silly
shield.

Haven't noticed those problems on my bike, with a Tracy Stiletto windshield.
Handles just fine. Taking the blast off makes it much easier to ride long
distances. Maybe you have a suboptimal windshield?

I've found angling the wind shields so they flow with the line of the
bike helps.I have one on one of my S.O.Bs and have no problem with it,

Very nice rebuild job! And the picture with the bridge in the
background isn't that bad for an early attempt with a digital camera.
I got a Givi A305 for my 599 and it works fairly well. I sure don't
feel any steering input from the air. Not even at supra-legal speed
on Interstate. It's not perfect, but it cuts down on air blast to the
chest and makes riding less fatiguing.

The lithobraker. Zero distance stops at any speed.

I run two of these old CXs and the one with the windshield helps
cut-down my riding fatigue as I suffer from VWF(Vibration White
Finger) and it helps keep my core body temp on cooler days from
dropping.
I wonder if I could fit an A305 to the other CX as they look good and
the design looks as if it deflects wind off the grips as well?
