My wife bought me some Motoboss gloves and Antifreeze glove liners.
They just, just work. For now.
Not what you suggested, but hey, the price was right.
Anyway, the gloves are great. They are flexible, large gauntlet things with
very thick, layered leather. Easy to put on and take off, and I can, just
barely, operate my Inno with them.
They also have room for liners.
The liners are good. They don't make a huge difference, but they work more
or less as advertised...except for the claim they'll keep your hands
substantially warmer.
What's nice is, I can wear liners with the gloves.
Heated liners.
It's going to get colder next month, giving me time to scour the internet
over the next couple weeks for a deal, as well as a controller that won't
break the bank.
I'll also be preparing the wiring on the bike for a new gadget. In fact, I
think I'll run a 12g wire to the fairing (fuse and relay equipped, of
course) for all my extra stuff. I've never been thrilled with how it is
now. The XM radio is wired into...something. It's not the accessory feed.
It's spliced into something that runs off the ignition, either the lights,
gauge lights, or something else. Whatever it is, it's supplying an extra 4
amps or so it was never designed for, which causes me discomfort.
Not enough discomfort to prevent me from wiring the GPS into the same line,
of course, but still.
The Valk has a couple handy accessory feeds for things like this. It also
has an accessory selection on the ignition switch. Makes a little more
sense to use this, I think.
It also gives me an excuse to remove the tank and check out the air filter,
and perhaps see just how much work adding an electronic cruise control will
be.
Someday, this bike will be a Goldwing...without all the ease and simplicity
of just buying one.
