My ancient air mattress finally gave up the ghost.
Last time I looked, I found I liked the air mattress
better than the current crop of self inflating pads.
Looking now, I see there are some air mattress
type pads that also contain insulating foam but don't
seem to be much bigger than an old style blow up
mattress.
Anybody using one of these gizmos that they
especially like ? What brand, and how much
did it set you back ? Looks like prices go from
about $50 to $170, and I'm currently investigating.
TIA

I have this one

Works great.
I paid $100 but the US price is $85.
I'm sure you can find it cheaper.

I've used a Thermarest for years and still like it. I'm surprised
they've gone up so much in price. REI.com is a good place to shop.

I bought my thermarest 3/4 for the bike and love it. You don't need a
full size and the self-inflater is perfect when you crush it down. I
actually blow up my self-inflater and it goes very fast. Just enough
to take the kinks out and then let the foam recover.
Anything else was too bulky to carry.
