"Failure to yield"?! Clearly the biker went out of his way to hit the
oncoming car's right fender ... Why, he hadda go clear over to the other
side of the street, then wham! It was all the cager could do to swerve
out of the way...   (I'm being a smartass.)

Since his face was cut up, clearly he needed to wear one. Whether the
law compelled him to is another matter.
