Tonight I took a look at an '81 Honda CB900 in neglected condition.

Pulled it up on the center stand, shifted to top gear and rotated
the rear tire... engine not seized, and felt what seems to be good
compression. Tank extremely rusty inside. 95k km. The guy might
let it go for $500 Cdn. Should I:

* run
* hide
* buy it
* forget it
* fix it up and ride it
* fix it up and sell it
* park it under a tree and talk about it whilst drinking beer
     with friends
* add it to my collection of derelicts, projects, maybes, some-days,
     round tuits and other long-term unlikely pipe dreams
* make it into a ratbike
* make it into a bobber

Here's what it looks like [or would, if restored]:

ps. It seems to have some kind of extra HI and LO range shift lever.

SQ - So screw it. Let's ride.

Should I:

Dunno, do you want to work on bikes or ride them?  But the picture was
pretty!

That's the question isn't it. Quick answer: I want to ride them and
show them off. Problem is I don't have much of a place to work on them
(except at a garage at the blueberry farm). There's something about
the look of this bike, though, that I really like. Of course it was
built back in the days when motorcycles *looked* like motorcycles...

It shoor is! I wonder how much it would cost me to fix it up.

That's easy.  Buy the one in the pic, it's already fixed up!

Go ahead.  You'll either love what you end up with, or learn to hate
them on sight.
