Hi,
I spent a few miles on D675. Could not rev it up (just city zone + brand
new bike) nor lean it over more (I ride that kind of thing for the first
time so was just scared + draconian demo ride policy "drop one free, buy
one at full price").
I just liked mid-range punch as well as the feeling it begs me to take
it to turn it.
The most important thing was the impression when I sat back on my FZ-1
after 30 minutes ride on D676. What a piece of piano that Yamaha is.
Big, wide, toll. More like a chair then the horse. And what an
artificial riding position it yields.
That all what I can say for now.
PS. xposting to rec.motorcycles just for fun.

I just bought one two weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with it. I
put a set of Helibars on it, and a Jardine slip-on, and it feels kinda
like the perfect bike.
After 10 years on liter bikes - an R1 and two Mille Rs - I was afraid
I'd want for power, but it's more than adequate, and you don't need to
wring it out.

Have you taken it on any extended rides yet?

I did about a 3 hr ride right after I got it with the stock clip-ons,
and the riding position was too extreme. I'm doing about 180 miles
tomorrow to see Mom, and I'm optimistic the Helibars will make a big
difference. They really helped on my '98 R1.

can I ask how much you paid for OTD. Per chance, do you know what is the
invoice price ...
Let us know how went that 180 miles ...
