I'd rather be on my motorcycle thinking about god
than sitting in church thinking about my
motorcycle.

Except if the reason you're thinking about God is you're pretty sure
you're going to meet Him within the next 500 milliseconds.

Speaking from personal experience, thinking about God is not something you
do during a crash; even one that takes several seconds to develop.
This is because right up until impact you're very busy calculating how best
to avoid meeting him (?), and afterwards it's a moot point: you either did
or you didn't.

Don't think of it as a crash. Think of it as succeeding less rapidly
than you wanted to.

Since the last time this happened to me I was completely upside down and
backwards whilst in mid-air, I tend to think of it as "receding" rather than
"succeeding".
