Well, didn't manage to get my track bike painted this year, although
it is running great, handles great, and is light and really fun to
ride.

So a friend just got his GL1000 parts back from a local painter/
fabricator/restorer and they are incredible.   He recommends this guy
highly, so I think I'm going to take the 1000SS to him.

I need to have my alloy 916 mono subframe grafted onto the 1000SS
frame, the tank, fairing, and tail section painted, and the exhaust
converted from single muffler to a paor of mufflers.

Will be calling the guy to arrange it.  In the meantime, gotta get off
my duff and swap from the 1000SS competion-only frame to one of my
titled 800SS frames so that I can occasionally take the track bike
out.... on the street.
