I'm about to do some update/upgrade work on the ol'88 1500 and need to
locate reasonable, honest on-line retailers,my old source retired and
sold everything..my first project is timing belts and possible water
pump and new radiator hoses and fittings. Hoses and timing belts I've
found using cross references and numbers from here but I'll need a
possible water pump and incidentals.

Hal Greenlee at HDL is definitely a good one. I've spent a few thou
there on incidentals for my old 1800. He has two stores, one in
Florida and the other in Ohio. Check him out. The other place I'd
recommend is Venco Wings up in the NE. http://www.vencowings.com/
Theyre a semi-major contributor of help over on the GWRRA BBS.

belts can be had via any auto parts shop. there's a Gates equivalent.
take the old hoses with you and compare the ones they have in the shop.
there will be equivalents with the right bends but that you may have to
cut come length off of on one or both ends.
