Recently bought an old Virago on e-bay.  In the month I've had it, it
always started quickly and easily (usually without choke).  I had only
ridden it around town 1 - 2 miles at a time; a lot of stop and go all
under 40mph.
It always seemed to run fine.  No indication of bogging, stalling or
backfiring.

I finally took it to get gas the other day.  I filled the tank, rode
it for about 15 minutes, took it home, and shut it off.
It hasn't started since.  It cranks fine (yes, of course, the typical
Virago started grind and hang).  It has spark at both wires.  A couple
of times, it sputtered a little, like it was at least trying to
start.  Now I get nothing.

Summary:  It ran OK, I filled it with gas, now it won't start.

Rust in the bottom of the tank.  New gas flowing in at a high rate stirred up
the rust, which clogged the fuel filter or fuel line screen in the tank, or
both.

Water in the new gas?  Drain out a glassful, from the bottom of the
tank,  and let it settle.  See if there is any stratification.
