One other thought.

If you have a centerstand, lowering either end of the
bike will make it a real backbreaker to put on the
centerstand. Plan on hacking up the stand if you want
to use it.

I have a Suzuki Bandit 400, only about 400 lbs, that some pervious owner
decided to lower.  Despite its light weight, it is almost as hard to get
on the centerstand as my FJR.  Also, the side stand is now too long and
if you're not careful, the bike is dangerously close to vertical and
tipping over in the slightest gust of wind, or if you park facing the
wrong way on a slope.  So the side stand will have to be cut & welded,
too.

I used to carry a small piece of 2x4, upon which I'd roll the rear
wheel of my Concours before attempting to get that thing onto its
stand. Worked wonders.

"Any"????

Fuck me.

No.

 None at all.

And it won't affect the rake or the trail in a negative way either.
