Some direct charge with no peripherals up to 14.9, whereas, and 14.4
is average, 14.2 is good for "real" gel, without a load.....same batts as my
UPS computer backup....14.9 for years...
Auto float chargers will go at 14.8, then work down to a 13.6
maintenance fixation.
M/Cycle batts are mainly regular or maintenance free/screwed of
AGM/Semi-gelled/SLA, all vrla.... no use a full Marine Gel Battery as far as
I know, then a 14.2 charger is needed but that would be another $120...and
for what really...
Batts are weird to measure Amps/Ah, a .600Ah and a 2.7Ah 1.5 volt
cell all measure 2 amps at full charge...
A Walwart "universal charger" says it has .8amps maximum, yet if you
read it at the 12v setting it will say 2amps and at 6volt it reads
1amp....with nothing much in between....
