Hello

I presently have 2 newer bikes, an 02 Yamaha FZ1 with 18k miles, and
an 07 Suzuki SV 650S with 2K miles, I am trying to get an in between
bike that will compromise, the Yamaha has power and comfort, a bit
heavy, average handling, excellent braking and about 43 mpg, the Suzuki
has good handling, great fuel economy, decent braking, power is ok, on
the highway going into a headwind the bike is down on power, I realize
it's only a 70hp 650, what are some opinions from some riders, looking
for light weight, excellent handling, and power in between the 2 bikes I
have now, and keeping better than average fuel economy in mind, for
starters, someone mentioned the new Triump street triple, weighs in at
367 and and has 107hp, any comments so far on this bike.

thanks
Chet

Someone complaining that 70 horses aren't enough makes me
pretty wary. 70 horses are more then there were (are) in a VW-beetle
with a big windscreen and 4 wheels.
I don't think you really have a problem.

Read Mark Olson's reply. He says what I think.

If you think an SV650 is down on power you're just not in the correct
gear. Unless you are trying to do 90 mph into a 30 mph headwind it
has plenty of power for any sane cruising speed. You already have
two nice bikes, it sounds like you are looking for justification to
get something different. Just buy the bike that suits your fancy but
I doubt you'll find something more powerful than an SV that beats your
FZ1's 43 mpg by much.
