I need the opinions from a few seasoned riders that have upgraded from older
bikes to newer ones of the same size, eg. older 1100 to a newer 1100. I have an
85 vt1100 shadow that has around 36,000 miles on it. I have been very happy with
it - runs great, looks good, etc. Lately I've been looking at newer shadows of
the same size and wondering what it would be like to get a newer 1100 (not brand
new). I read somewhere that the newer bikes are not as powerful as the older
shadows. I am interested in hearing what everyone's take on this is. TIA

I never expected to see Shadow and Powerful in the same sentence.

Why start now?  I'm a mean, cold, hard hearted s.o.b.  My ex wife told me so, it
must be true.

Wait a minute.  She never told the truth about anything else.

Now I'm confused.

NOW SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE???  I thought I had it all figured out.  Now I gotta
start over.

Just find a woman you hate and buy her a house.  Much simpler.
