Looking for help on a "project" bike. Did a lot of engine work (full
tear down) only to find the clutch action does not give enough travel
to disengage the pressure plate. Seems like there is a transfer
action in the left main case that I do not understand, nor do I see
any info on it in the Clymer manual that I got with it. Any help?
BTW, the Honda shop was no help on viewing externally, so that is
all working OK. All other engine actions normal, ie, shifting,
starting, running thru power band.

Could be a warped clutch plate, or just out of adjustment. If it only
grabs at a cold start up, that could be normal.

You did put the ball bearing back in between the clutch pushrod
and the clutch lifter (the piece that lifts the pressure plate)?
Go fast. Take chances.

I have an entire '85 CR125 sitting in pieces in the shed
out back. My right side engine / water pump cover is so
corroded as to be unrepairable. I searched to a replacement
and so far have found none to exist.
So the motor is pretty much junk for my needs.
I may be up for parting out the motor in whole or in part
if someone needs something specific.
I'd like to keep the rolling chassis for a future CR250XF
Thumper project though.
Gud Luk with your clutch problem, sorry I don't have an
answer.
