Subject: Factory Direct Modification Campaign – Front fork axle
clamp inspection and or replacement of complete front fork tube
assembly
Affected models: 2009 125SX, 150SX, 250XC-W and 300XC-W
Initial Information:
KTM North America has determined that a defect which relates to
motor vehicle safety exists in select 2009 125SX, 150SX, 250XC-W
and 300XC-W with the front fork tubes in above mentioned models.
To ensure the highest level of performance, reliability and
customer satisfaction, it is necessary to inspect the front
fork axle clamp of each fork leg.
* Please read this entire bulletin before taking any action.
* Note: There will be two Technical Bulletins for Fork Checks
linked to each affected VIN In the vehicle history. One is for On
Road models and the other is for Off Road models.
Please select the appropriate bulletin for the model and only
perform the one appropriate Technical Bulletin.
