He's gotta have his balls screwed on tight.

Las Vegas, Nevada (January 1, 2008) - Australian motocross superstar
Robbie Maddison literally leapt into the pages of the Guinness Book of
World Records by jumping his motorcycle 322 feet 7 1/2  inches over the
length of a regulation football field to shatter the previous record
of 277 feet at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
...

Telecast live on ESPN's New Year, No Limits program shortly after the
ball dropped in Times Square signifying 2008, Maddison hit the take-
off ramp at 94 miles per hour on his Honda CR 500, reaching a height
of more than 60
feet, and soared into history.

Thanks for the link! I heard about this but forgot to watch it.
I'll say this, Maddison did it right. Ninety-four MPH is insanely fast
to be hitting a ramp, but I noticed the super-nice landing ramp and
plenty of roll-out room after the jump. Other record-attempting
jumpers could learn from the Maddison crew. Don't be stingy on the top
speed, but also realize that 90-100 mph requires a well-designed
landing site. Too many jumpers get one or the other wrong. Congrats to
Robbie... an amazing display of sheer balls.

I've done better than that but it was in a Cessna. Made the landing
too. OF

That's very cool. I can watch that one above, but not this one below, with
my screwed up machine.

He comes pretty close to that square pillar on the run-up, I guess he
needs every inch to get the speed he needs.
