Ben's the third bike from the right on the start. I didn't get the whole
video due to battery issues. Sorry I missed the part where the only girl at
the entire event passed him for third place.
He ended up getting 5th overall. Not bad for his first event. This was also
the first time he had ever used a starting gate.
Enjoy.

Wow, looks like I need to get my kid some more seat time and find a
rougher course (than our grassy flat backyard) before I take ****
racing this summer with the NETRA circuit if that's what they should
expect for conditions.. I will definately need something to chase them
with the first few times. They have seen nothing like that before. Are
the "hare" scrambles I am reading about for kids, that difficult?
Great job getting your kids out there, I am trying to get mine up to
speed, but I have a lot of work to do I can see. Good luck, stay safe?

Although I will confess that I have personally witnessed Ben "squeal
like a frightened little girl" (search rmd for "Bear" & "Spodefest"),
Ben is not Rick's child, but rather, his riding buddy, and a fast one,
at that. (Sorry for the "gig" Ben, but I couldn't help it. <VBG>)
