I'm looking for a new dual purpose bike, fully street legal and ready
to take on the dirt. Something in the 200 - 400 cc class.
Any ideas of which one is the best bang for the buck? I'm 6-2 and
weigh about 215 and never plan on carrying a passenger. Thanks for
any ideas/opinions.

Which brand of chinese crap are you going to end up spamming the
newsgroup with after you get a few responses?

Something, yeah.
Get a TT-R 250.
It's that easy.

Generally speaking, where do you live? California? Idaho? Florida?
Maryland?
>I've looked at the Yamaha TW-200 with the fat tires.
First Craig and now Will... what's with the TW-200??? A sucky,
2-wheeled ATV that even girls won't ride. And not good (bad) gurls
like Tami either, but real novice chicks who wanna hang out with their
boyfriend (so they can remind him when it's time to go to Mervyn's or
The Gap later). It's 262 pounds dry... and it's only a 200cc bike. And
I dunno about anyone else, but I don't wanna head down the asphalt
with that gay, bulbous rear tire floating around and flexing at every
corner.
The TT-R230 is 20 lbs lighter, with more power, 2-3" more
suspension travel, better handling, and lists for about $350 less.

They're cheaper. Period.

Nope.
