I've decided to sell my dual sport bike. I haven't hurt it, at all.
Not wrecks or "tree bites"; and haven't dropped it in either dirt or
pavement (or my garage).
I'm asking $4500 for my almost new 2009 Yamaha WR250R Dual Sport
bike. I bought it new (as a left over model) at the end of last
September, and it now has 145 miles on the odometer; fully half of
them with a grandkid on the back.
The bike is electric start, fuel injected, has a thermostatically
controlled radiator fan, and a six speed transmission. The fuel
injection will compensate for elevation changes if it is riden in the
high mountains out west.
The bike has been taken off-road, but has never been dropped, and
never worked hard.
The folks at ADVRider.com love this model. It's a sweet dual sport,
but is not a pure enough dirt bike for me. (I'm spoiled by my GasGas.)
My experiment in dual sport bikes is my loss and your gain.
It has Ken Sean folding dual sport mirrors (top quality stuff),
aluminum barkbusters/handguards, aluminum skid plate, and aluminum
radiator guard. Currently, it has Dunlop trials tires on both front
and rear. I still have the original Dot legal knobbies. I also have a
Tugger Strap for it, uninstalled. All guards, accessories, and both
sets of tires come with it at this price.
I had this bike at the campground at the TrainRobbers Enduro.
Photos are available upon request.
Thanks for reading, and please tell anyone who you think might be
interested in this bike.

I figured this was coming... :)
Oh well, it was worth a shot at least, hopefully you'll sell it quickly
and move on.
Do you have an account at advrider? Seems like it's be worth listing it
on the flea market there. If you do, let me know and I'll put a mention
in the WRR mega thread to help get some exposure. (I'd post it for you,
but that'd be cheatin', plus if you can throw in a photo or two it would
help a lot.)
I've got close to 1500 miles on mine, not much I know, but I'm getting
ready for a 4 day camp-off-the-bike trip of about 800 miles round trip,
garage to garage--no trucks involved.
The first and last days will be 80% pavement, days 2 & 3 95% dirt.
That's really the kind of riding this bike is made for.
Good ridin' and sellin' !

Charles,
I listed the WR250R on ADVRider's "flee market".

Cool, I'm on my way. Just saw a posting today from someone looking for
one...
