Hi all,
What is your personal favourite motocross/dirtbike video game that you
have ever played (any gaming console/any computer/arcade machine game) ?
I currently have "MX Superfly featuring Ricky Carmichael" on my Nintendo
GameCube, and I also have Nintendo's "Excitebike" (via Animal Crossing)
also on my GameCube....
Since MX Superfly is the only motocross/dirtbike video game I have ever
really played (other than Excitebike), I was just wondering what motocross
type games were considered to be real good, not only on the GameCube, but
on other platforms/systems.
Any input/comments welcome!
best regards

Personally, I don't quite understand this whole adults playing video
games thing. I loved video games as a kid, but after about 13 or so, I
really don't remember having any major interest. I certainly
understand that video games have come a LONG way since my Atari
system, but I just don't see the attraction.

So far, I've really enjoyed my Hayabusa.
I'm looking forward to the Ducati.
My wife agrees with the Hayabusa statement.

I'm a game head and I have played just about every racing game out
there, especially mx ones. By far the only one I can recommend due to
the realistic physics is MTX MotoTrax. This is a peecee and Mac game, so
you know there is a better chance it caters to more than just kids. I
don't care for these unrealistic games where you hop on a quad and fly
through the air like a glider. MTX MotoTrax is more of a simulation than
a game given its realistic physics engine. But don't be fooled, the game
is tones of fun. You have the racing circuit (my fave) and you also have
the freestyle mode. In either you have Travis Pastrana helping you all
along with tips, etc. You actually get to race and practice at his
compound (Travis was heavily involved in teh making of this game). But
to me the racing circuit is the best, with realistic tracks.
When it comes to playing bike games I prefer the use of the keyboard
instead of the playstation like controller. This game won't let you
down. It truly is a fantastic simulation with tons of fun. Take it from
a gamer/racer.
