Like MX Tuna last year, I finally got my 1st street bike at the tender
age of 42. Me, that is. The bike is a 97 FZR 600 with 1K miles on
it. Well 2K now. She only ever rode it a thousand miles before she
broke up with her boyfriend <g>.

Said boyfriend tipped it over on the driveway as you can see. Which
turns out to be a good thing because that being the case you can't see
where I tipped it over doing figure 8s in the parking lot at work.
What I don't understand yet is why I shouldn't expect to crash it once
a day or so. I don't see how it's any different than dirtbiking.
But then I haven't had it over 10 RPM yet. Soon enuf.

You're serious? Crashing once a day or so, even on a dirt bike?

If your dirt bike stays rubber side down all day, you've just been on a foo
foo trail ride. :-)

Guess I'm thinking racing and not "foo foo" rides. Crashing means no
first place, probably not even a podium. Actually, probably no points at
all. I don't run all out while racing, and even milder while trail
riding. Pain hurts and hospital bills suck. Not going down all this past
season gave me a first place over all in the 250cc B class. Consistency
wins more, as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to have to do some fast
talking to keep myself out of the A class next year....
