Took this weekend off to go to the Caprock Enduro in Texas. The race was
postponed due to wet conditions and the TSCEC informed everyone on Friday so
I didn't have to drive from Colorado to Texas to find out. Locally was the
first trials event of the year also. So I loaded up that bike instead.
Met a bunch of great people, rode with a couple of friends that it was
their first one too, and just had an all around good time.
The course was made up of 10 test sections, all pretty close to the
parking area. We had to go through the loop 3 times. I made some stupid
mistakes and still don't fully understand the rules but I have a better
grasp of them now than I did at the start of the day.
To much fun!!

Dang, so you made it to the one near "bluffs" east of Colo springs? it
would been 350 miles, for me to go to it, and I almost went. I decided Ill
wait, it would been 4 weekends in a row to compete. But yet closest Colo
trails for me to goto, I shoulda went, Dang. Well you did buy a bike at
least I notice. Oh well, I got other maintenence done I guess....

From what I understand, here are the rules:
1) Don't put your foot down.
That's it.
Oh yeah, and...
2) Wait for your turn.
> To much fun!!
Yep.

Yeah, you can read just so much but at some point you just have to get out
there and do it to get the hang of how things work. Sounds like you had a
good time.
BTW, I'm lousy at taking tests too...(haha)
