I noted that the recent nationwide video showing passersby lifting the
vehicle and sliding the motorcyclist away included no helmet.
I'm thinking this is one of those street crashes that he would have been
killed if he was wearing one because his head would have got twisted as he
slid under the car or decapitated outright.
Just trying to stir something up besides syntax.

Of course, had he been paying attention, it wouldn't have happened in the
first place either.
Glad it had a happy ending, but there's a lot of squid lessons in there.

I can tell you've never ridden a motorcycle in Salt Lake City. Drivers
there are the reason I'll probably never own another street bike...

I'll bet you wore a helmet/gear, watched for left turners, etc.

Doesn't matter. You should drive around Rhode Island for a bit -
everyone drives with their eyes closed. Cured me of the street bike
bug until I moved farther north.
