Just got a link to this in e-mail:

As much as I don't like this place, I do watch their ads.

I've had pretty good experiences with them. They normally stock enough
levers/tires/tubes/numbers etc. to deal with same day riding
emergencies and are open 7 days a week. They'll order anything you can
find online, and are good for sending family members to get the old
man gifts he really wants :)
It all depends on the staff, too. They were decent at my local CG.

Yup. Staffing at CG always varies wildly. Sometimes the folks are
helpful and have some knowledge, other times they are young punks that
think they're cool because they work at a motorcycle shop. Luckily
it's easy to spot the differences a mile away.
Not so crazy about the Dunlops, as they don't last as long as the
IRC's, but the price does look good.

The "local" Cycle Gear, at Little Rock (120 miles north of Smackover)
has a pretty good manager, and the staff is very helpful.
I like it, as it's always open (and stays open late); so that one
can pick up tubes, tires, oils, etc on the way to a race
The manager is very knowledgable about his stock. The "minions" are
not always so.
When, after browsing his store, I pointed out to him that his
Pro-Grip exhaust plugs were priced at $8, or $3 above retail, he
replied, "Well, we are selling a lot of them, anyway."
I thought, "OK. I'll keep that in mind."
