Need a little help. Motocross bikes taking up too much garage space and want
to move 1 or 2 to the basement for winter. The fuel hose on 1 is stuck on
the carb nipple. Suggestions for removal would be greatly appreciated. Need
to drain the tank before bringing it in the house.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Heat it up with a hair dryer, then gently work a medium flat-blade
screwdriver in between the hose and the petcock. Gently rock the blade
side to side to persuade the hose to loosen. Be careful, the brass
nipple is pretty soft :)

Use a pair of pliers to grasp the hose area over the nipple. Twist the
hose back and forth to break the "bond" that keeps the hose in place.
Drain gas. Replace hose with a new piece that can more easily be
removed. OF

take a razor blade or box cutter and cut it starting from the end on
the carb long wise to the end of the nipple
if it doesn't then fall off, it should pull off with the gentlest of
pulls
