Fun at the motorcycle parts store

 There is this parts store that is specialized in dirt bikes and <gasp>
kwads. It is owned by a guy I met when I used to race enduros.

I have a friend who raced one enduro back in 2004, when I was really
into it. This friend went on that store to buy a pair of boots,
helmet, gloves, this stuff. The guy there promptly asked him if he was
going to race the next enduro, date not set yet, but will be either 21
or 28, this month. My friend said yes, he would go and all, he raced
once because of a friend he have that used to race and he mention my
name. The guy remembered me at first: "the guy who almost lost a toe
and on the other race broke his knee?" lol, what a thing to be
remembered for... These accidents were in 2005. My friend is on the
store *now* and just called me to let me know that I am kind of a
"celebrity"... LOL!

This only makes me want to race again. Today I'm finishing the clutch
rebuild, hope the thing works. Then I will have to check the
speedometer cable and fittings for the enduro computer, check if my
enduro computer still works (not turned on since august 2005), check
if I still have all the racing stuff...

I will make sure to write a lengthy RR... :-)

I'm "that guy" in some circles too.  It's not all bad.  Embrace it!
