Don't know how many 'offroad oriented' dualsporters are about here,
but I'm going to try those new-fangled XCMH tires.
Going to try to burn down the last of my MT21/MT18 combo sunday around
Newfield NY, then mount the fresh meat up in time for the Hancock NY
Quarry Run dual-sport.
Maybe the XCMH will be more trail-changeable than the stiff MT21
(which itself is 100 times easier than a teraflex).

That's a DOT approved tire? Wow! Pretty agressive looking knobby for
those honors. I'll be very interested in how they work and how they
wear (it seems like some level of dual sport is going to be in all of
our futures if we want to keep riding). Please keep us informed when
you put them into service.

Yeah, DOT.
The front is supposed to be pretty much an MT-18HD (bought one from
Jim quite awhile ago, still pretty knobby but all the corners are
rounded), the rear I think is a pretty new design.
The MT21 is pretty good, but not quite aggressive enough, the teraflex
raises the bike a bit and damages the handling (but is the traction
king! HOOAH!), if this tire hadn't come out I'd be trying a D606, I
think.
