Hey, Jim...or anyone else reading this that might know...
I need to know what the stock rear suspension travel is on the `03
Pampera 280. I am having one hell of a time finding it on the `net,
and it isn't listed in my user's manual.
I have a brand new custom-made shock for the Pamp (thereby doubling
its value <G>) and in order to dial it in I need to know what the
stock travel was.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks a ton,

Just off the top of my head, I think (if the shock spring is the
proper length for the shock) the shock will work best with the proper
preload on the spring.
It's a different way of tuning the rear shock that I've heard about
from several sources. (rather than setting race sag, etc.)
I'll find out what I can about the shock travel measurement, and the
total suspension travel, and get back to you.

That's how KTM recommends setting the '07s here. And then
verifying proper spring rate by checking race sag.

Go fast and aim for where the trees aren't.

Yup, I've heard of the same method.
The thing is, I just got this shock and I'd just have to assume the
spring rate is correct. It's a brand new spring as well, and Eric just
installed the shock last night.

Don't go out of your way for me, Jim. I just thought that maybe you'd
know off the top of your head. Eric only informed me last night that
he needed to know, well beyond the point of calling anyone. The bike
needs to be loaded up Wednesday evening as I'm leaving for the
Jackhammer Enduro Thursday afternoon, so I'll try to call around and
find out today at some point.
Thanks for the help, everyone!
