I've seen this video probably 2 dozen times over the course of the
last couple months. Every time I see a bike link, I know this is gonna
be the one, and I still watch it anyway. Its incredible.
I understand much of it is just raw practice and skill, but how does
the dudes body take the hits like the one at the 4:50 point of the
video? Its like a 12' flat drop right down to concrete.

I think you answered your own question. He doesn't try to take it with
just his legs (for example), but spreads it out over his whole body.
He's a human spring, or thinks he is.
The whole video is nicely done.
I like the drop around 4:15

Yup, he uses the bike to spread the impact 4 ways. I don't know if he
could make the same drop without the bike...

Saw that a couple months ago and it has to be one of my all time
favorite videos. Absolutely amazing. I'm thinking seriously
about getting a trials bicycle and working on it until I can do
that back flip thing off a tree.
Just went back and checked and I originally heard of it in the
Shane Watts newsletter from a couple months ago:
