Hey, Guys!
Mr Baxter was correct about the GV's - take your time and there isn't
too much to it! BUT, on my 97 kx250 Kayabas, the directions tell you
to convert the mid-valve to a standard check valve on the cartridge.
The GV's came with a video in which the Showa was peened on and not
serviceable while the 93 KYB had 2 nuts that locked together and was
easy to get to the valving. My Kayaba is a bit different in what
looks like permanent washers on each side. I posted 2 pictures and a
short video (Xvid) to alt.binaries.pictures.motorcycles.
Does anyone have any experience with taking these apart?
Thank you for any help!
Scott

Usually you remove the peen (file, grinder, etc), make changes install
nut and re-peen...

Actually, the ones I was thinking about are staked... not peened.
Could make a difference?
