I just got this email from John Brunsgaard.

From jeb:
Wow, only 2 weeks to the 12th annual Wudi. Hard to believe how fast
time flies by. Sure looking forward to seeing everyone.
Trail conditions last weekend were just about perfect. We seem to be
over our wet/cold weather, and the trails were already drying out
well. I'll be down there this weekend working trails too, and the
following for our enduro. So I'll give updates where needed. Sure is
looking good right now, though. None of the severe weather that went
through Ark a few days ago hit our area, so should be no worries
there.
There will be no door prizes this year. Sorry, but between the enduro
and some personal issues we have going on right now, I've just not
found the time to get it done.
Not sure what else to add. If you have any questions at all, please
post them on the Wudi Forum, email me, etc. I think most everything is
already on the website, but I'm sure I forgot something.
See y'all soon!
John

It snowed 9" during the White Rock Mountain Enduro on Sunday. The
trail was not too bad, but the blizzard like conditions made
visibility during the race a little obscure. Because of the
conditions, only about half of the new enduro trail was used. The rest
of it is still virgin, and waiting on us.
I've definitely got a Wudi, now. :-)
It was 60F and sunny up there yesterday. I'm leaving for White Rock
on Thursday morning. Weather forecast for Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday is for afternoons in the 60F range, and sunny.
Come join us!

A "last minute" email to the Wudi12 riders/attendees from jeb:
I received some questions that I figured I'd answer for everyone's
benefit.
The campground is well lit, so no problem coming in after dark. Just
try to be as quiet as you can if everyone has already turned in. Make
sure you get up to the gate house in the morning and get your arm
band.
There are no Wudi tee-shirts this year. It just did not get done. We
do have some shirts left over from the enduro, I believe, if anyone is
interested.
The GPS coordinates for the Razorback Riders campground are N35 47.725
W93 50.461

The trails will be somewhat wet from the snow, which will be long
gone, BTW. I've never seen so much snow melt so fast. We had something
like 9" here at home on Sunday and I was outside working in a tee
shirt yesterday. This riding areas drains off water FAST, and was
actually a little dusty putting up arrows on Thursday and Friday.
Anyway, I started using Michelin X11 tube type rear trials tires in
earnest at last years Wudi and have used them through thick and thin
down at White Rock ever since. Even the mud down here has good
traction for them, and they're a wonder over wet rocks and logs. So
that's what I'll be running in back. Other good rear tires would be
Pirelli MT16's and Mich S12 (when it's wet). Dunlop 756 is a good
front, as are the Bridgestone M59 (excellent actually) and Mich M12.
Most knobbies are going to take a beating in our more rocky areas, of
course. That's another place trials tires shine. I get WAY more miles
out of them.

JEB promised no more snow this weekend... :)
We're headed that way early tomorrow morning (hopefully). We may roll
into camp just after dark tomorrow or early Thrusday.

That's great, Dudley!
Who's coming with you? John? Chris?
Ted Cassell is supposed to make it this year.

I still owe Ted a shirt! (If I'm thinking of the right guy...)
