Watch the whole show, without commercials, here:

Jessie was game, but could have used a bit more practice, at least
enough to help him learn to quit trying to drag his feet. I think that
a 300cc two stroke would have been a better ride for him.
I kept looking for Dust Devil (Gary Moman) in the video, but it's been
a long time since the "Ride the Divide".2009 Colorado Spodefest, where
I last saw Gary. If I saw him, I didn't recognize him.
It was fun to watch, and put myself in the race.
The two biggest obstacles for me, dust and visibility, didn't seem to
be a problem for Jessie. :-)
Good Riding and Viewing!

I started a thread about this in KTMTalk and it took off pretty good.
I was pretty disappointed in his skill level. :)
Water stunt was stupid...

I watched the last half or so and enjoyed the scenery and MC
assuming JJ knew what he was doing.
Now, the promos for the show pissed me off. "...the toughest
motorcycle race on the planet".
I'd be willing to bet Mr. James couldn't complete one lap on *any*
of the Hare Scrambles courses around here.

That show was just on here. I don't think anyone so early in their off-road
riding career would be able to complete a lap. You have to pass thru the
learning curve like everyone else. What "pissed me off" was that they put
someone into danger without the skills to handle it for entertainment. I
didn't see the upside to that.
The hydroplaning thing was just ridiculous. Nobody, and especially a rank
novice, is going to approach a water obstacle and gas it. You only do that
when you know the hazard. The lesson should have been to stop, observe,
pick a safe line. He might have had a little more gas when he got to the
race.
It was nice seeing off-road bikes doing what they do.

There is some speculation that it was no JJ on the bike in the
water... but rather a stun man?
