I need to replace the coolant in my son's '07 KX250F. It's a long way to
the Honda shop but there are numerous auto parts store close by. Is there
something special about motorcycle coolant? Can I use any aluminum safe
anti-freeze?

I have always used preston with a 70% distilled water to 30%
antifreeze mix in my 02 and 06 YZ250 and have had no problems, this
included tight woods racing.

Is the factory fill red or green? Probably red (silicate free, or
something).
If red, get some Dex-Cool. Oh, this says it's orange not red

Engine Ice. Forgot about that stuff. Always wondered if it was snake oil.
Hey, if it works... something about deltaT... where's the frigin' delta on
my keyboard?
Thermodynamics was really tough without a good handle on calculus.
Calculus is some cool stuff, I learned later at a lesser University.

Kids, pay attention and learn a lot. Before you know it you are old and it's
(maybe) too late.
