They're getting closer...

I can't wait until the e-bikes are truly viable - I want one bad...no
more riding areas off limits! I'm gonna name mine, "Silent but
Deadly".

OK, so I have to wonder...
will they add a noisemaker so the rider knows when to shift?
I think they added a noisemaker to the Prius, because those critters
could sneek right up on pedestrians, speaking of silent but deadly.

I'm waiting for a 100 mile range.
I ran into a guy at the trailhead on a Zero over spring break. He
made it about 20 miles before having to be towed back to the truck.
Another issue on electric motors is water. The zero is open air.
That's bound to lead to expensive problems later. The KTM is supposed
to have a completely sealed motor with oil cooling. That will be the
way to go.

Some guy couldn't get an amphibious snowmobile to work? Can't imagine
- snowmobiles are already amphibious right out of the box! They run
across water great (if you have the stones and the HP).
